Recreation Special Events
The Moab City Recreation Department hosts a variety of special events for the community throughout the year. These events include, but are not limited to, Free Movie Nights, the Annual Turkey Trot 5K, and annual Easter Egg Hunt. We are pleased to offer affordable activities for Moab locals and families to enjoy. We hope to see you there!
Join us for our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4th 2026 at Swanny City Park.
The Hunt starts at 10 AM, and is a FREE event for the public. Look forward to activities, vendors, and more this year!
* Children ages 1-8 are invited to hunt for eggs, and will be split into areas of the park according to age group

ATTENTION RUNNERS, WALKERS & TROTTERS!
Moab City's Annual Turkey Trot 5K will take place on Saturday November 22, 2025 starting @ 9 AM at the Moab Recreation and Aquatics Center (MRAC). MRAC Location
FREE Kid's K (1 lap around Swanny Park) for ages 10 and under will begin at 9 AM (no pre-registration required), followed by the 5K at approximately
Special Categories:
Canine Duo: Dogs must be on leash
Fastest Stroller: stroller must contain a human occupant
Fees:
5K: $20
T-shirt: $20
Prizes:
1st place winners of each category will win a Turkey donated by Moab's local City Market!
Registration/Packet Pickup
This year, a new electronic timing system will be implemented. Pre-registration online is highly recommended.
Packet Pickup: 7:30-8:30 AM in the MRAC lobby on race morning.
On-site Registration: 7:15-8:00 AM in the MRAC lobby on race morning (this allows for on-site registrants to be manually entered into the electronic timing system).
Proceeds benefit youth sports programs and non-perishable food item donations benefit the Grand County Food Bank.
